Wildlife Conservation Plan for MRPL
Following the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and its 2023 Amendment, this plan prioritizes the conservation of endemic and threatened species in the ecologically sensitive zones of MSEZ area. The WCP emphasizes on strengthening Protected Areas and Eco-sensitive Zones (ESZs) under updated Schedules and Conservation Reserves, Community involvement and local stewardship, aligning with the amended provisions for co-management and conservation awareness; Enhanced protection of Schedule I species through stricter penalties and monitoring and Biodiversity monitoring and habitat restoration using participatory approaches and integrating scientific research with traditional ecological knowledge.


Biodiversity Assessment & Management Plan for Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC
Refinery production includes highly complex secondary processing units to process crudes of various API, delivering a variety of quality products. The neighbouring habitats host several species of flora and fauna, which might be impacted due to the manufacturing process. By leveraging a biodiversity assessment and management plan, we aim to equip Oil & Gas industry with valuable insights that not only meet regulatory requirements but also foster responsible practices in safeguarding local biodiversity.



Biodiversity Assessment and Carbon Sequestration Study for RR Kabel, Vadodara, Gujarat.
As a responsible conglomerate, RR Kabel Ltd. intends to play a significant role in our nation’s ambitions for sustainable growth by conducting Biodiversity Assessment and Carbon sequestration initiatives to support the environment. This is just a balancing way of mitigating global climate change and protecting and enhancing local carbon stocks.

Plantation Activity and Expert talk on Environment Day, Bamboo Day, and Parthenium Awareness Week to sensitize local farmers, agriculture engineering students and common people.






Corporate Capacity-building Sessions
Earth Day on 22nd April 2025 on the theme “Our Power, Our planet”, was conducted for TCS Associates throughout all locations. 294 professionals and changemakers joined this awareness session, followed by a plantation activity at Sundarban National Park to lead by example and recognise the interconnections of people, planet and prosperity.
A knowledge-sharing session with Tata Steel for its Marketing & Sales Officers to discuss innovative solutions and Green Steel strategies that align with a greener future. The session was held WebEx platform on 11th November 2024 and was attended by 46 participants. It provides an understanding of ongoing initiatives of TATA Steel, meaningful discussions on innovative tools in the steel industry to curb pollution, and the sharing of national and international case studies of steel industries to become a leader in environmental stewardship.
International Biodiversity Day Celebration in collaboration with RR Kabel, acknowledging nature-based solutions and provision of ecosystem management practices for fostering sustainable economic growth on 22nd May 2024.
World Wetland Day celebration on 2nd February 2024 in collaboration with MRPL HSE team and Sustaina Greens team to witness the wonders of wetlands and the types of ecosystem services they support.
